Initiative Goals

Raising Awareness

We hope to spread awareness among Houston citizens about how many of our fellow Houstonians are facing the horrible effects of environmental injustice.

Tree Planting

We want to plant thousands of trees in underserved neighborhoods like Alief and Third Ward, communities that face some of the city’s highest summer temperatures, lowest tree canopy coverage, and greatest environmental health challenges

Tree Care

We plan to make sure trees stay healthy after they are planted by frequently watering and mulching them (as they are very fragile for the first few months after they're planted).
